#2 Duke at #24 UNC

Who you got? I grew up in Wilmington, which is close to Chapel Hill and Dukes campus as well. Its college basketballs OSU-scUM game, best rivarly in all of basketball. Im a Tarheel fan, hopefully UNC can pull off the upset.

I gotta go with Duke in a close one... I think Redick will prove too much for UNC in the end. I think being at Chapel Hill the atmosphere will be tough. The key for UNC will be if someone besides Hansbrough can step up to score. Duke has the best front-line that UNC has seen this year, so I think they can contain Hansbrough. Should be a great one to watch.

When is the game? I think Duke will win b/c UNC doesn't have the post presence that it'll need to battle with Williams and McRoberts, who is coming along nicely for them. I will be rooting for UNC, however.

Im looking forward to the Hansborough-Williams match-up. It seems that Shelden dominates every team they play, until the other team has a good F/C. Shelden plays like shit anytime hes facing somebody that has any size and is decent, like against Georgetown.

Hansborough will be a good one, but I think his skills are still a little raw. Williams, being a senior, has no excuse for not dominating tonight. Then again, I hope he doesn't!

Sometimes true, but Hansbrough is the same size or smaller, not bigger. The things Big Shel has problems with are ATHLETIC big men, not size in general. I look for McRoberts to double down on Hansbrough a lot, especially if Shelden starts having problems.

at the begining of the season who would have thought we'd be saying duke could lose to UNC. Duke is still too powerful though. The game will be close, but JJ will bring 'em to victory. I don't see Duke losing another game until the postseason...

But don't get me wrong...i'll be cheering for the defending champs.

Shocking. Dick Vitale isn't happy the officials got suspended for their horrendous call in the FSU game. Now he'll be bitching about it all game.

FWIW, in the DV drinking game, you have to take a swig every time he showers Redick with excessive praise. Like, "you can't tell me this guy isn't gonna be a star in the NBA." Yes, I can Dick.

I was afraid of this happening... The refs are way oversensitive about all the bitching about Duke getting calls. They are stunting runs with all the fouls they are calling. With 11:40 to go, Duke has 19 fouls called on them to only 10 for UNC. Duke is still winning, but every time they start to pull away, the whistles are coming out. 56-49 Duke with 11:26 to play.

From what I've seen, UNC has been attacking underneath a lot more to draw those fouls. Since you made that post, there were a couple of times they could have called a foul underneath against duke and let it go.

there again, paulus a little out of control, and they let it go too.
