Mike im beyond sick of your outlook to this team EVERY YEAR (even after they win the cup). they got hosed all night long. what do you want them do, hit more and get MORE BS shit called on them. That was a joke. end of discussion. yes they need to be more physical. but JC it was a bad game all around. I think they win friday BIG, bring it home and wipe the floor with trashville.

Sadly I wasnt worried about the first part happening. :/ Yes Mike very clean game, nothing out of the ordinary. Game 2 Friday! Wings and BJ's will switch spots within 2 years like you said.

There's a reason none of the kids at Grand Rapids are breaking into the big squad even with the injuries the Wings had this year.

And oh yeah, when they lost Lidstrom they weren't even a .500 team.

Considering how weak some of the offenses were that have been suspended this season, I would be absolutely stunned to see Shea Weber walk away scot-free.

Who is Jesse Venture?

If the pattern holds, he'll get a game at most.

It used to be when someone took cheapshots at the Wings like that the next game was either a bloodbath, a blowout, or both. I expect this team to play tight, try not to get hit too much and generally avoid any semblance of playing in the middle of the ice.

Well it used to be that someone took a cheapshot like that a brawl would break out a bunch of meaningless fight penalties and whatever would be assessed at the 0:00 and then everyone would be back for the next game like nothing had happened.

Just read somewhere that the $2500 fine for Weber's $7.5m salary was equal to someone making $50k and getting a $16 fine. Then again, that was the maximum amount he could be fined. Either way, pathetic ruling considering how weak some of the suspensions Shanahan dealt out this season. If Zetterberg gets hurt (instead of his helmet cracking), this would've been a multiple game suspension no doubt.
