1954 Throwback Jersey

I'm buying the throwback jersey from the 1954 team (the jersey they wore for the Mich game).

My choices are #51, #2, and #8. I don't necessarliy want the #2 only because it's a throwback and that's Pryor's number.


Which would you choose? I'm ordering this today.

Even though, "Everyone has one", it's still a more historic number that should continue to be near the top of Buckeye lore.

Had me going there, I thought you were talking about a 54 Jersey ... can't remember anyone on the buckeyes wearing single digits back then. If you're talking about the jerseys they threw out as "throw back" jerseys this November, then go with 2. It's the one that is probably going to grow in value faster than the others.

8 is Posey's and 51 is Homan's, why does it matter if 2 is Pryor's? Unless you don't like him. :p

For that much, I think I'd save up for an authentic jersey or maybe the helmet from the 50s or 60s (which you can find for $130-180)

$80 for stitched jerseys are how much college jerseys always are. Unless there's a sale (rare) or they aren't made by Nike.

I don't think you can buy an "authentic" throwback, just the ones the school is selling from the game itself. And they aren't the same as the 50s/60s jerseys are they?

But I agree that I'd rather have an actual jersey from the 50s and 60s, which is what you're saying.

Going to correct myself here.. college stitched are $75. Rivalry ones were/are $80.
