#15 UC-Santa Barbara +16.5 vs #2 tOSU (ov/un 132.5) Fri 9:45 ET, CBS

I considered insuring my bet after all the chatter of the team flu... but in the end of the day UC-Santa Barbara's two games this year against mediocre BCS schools ended in 20+ point defeats... an NIT team in a 27 point loss to ASU, and then a 21 point loss to a Cal team that OSU handled pretty easy. I won't overlook them, and the tournament usually plays a lot closer than on paper, but in the end... our boys seemed real focused on that trophy.

a little more before tip:

The-Ozone, Ohio State Football, Wrestling, Softball, Basketball, Hockey, Baseball and More

Ohio State might be a No. 2-seed playing No. 15-seed UC Santa Barbara Friday (9:35 p.m. ET, CBS), but if they learned anything from watching day one of the NCAA Tournament it?s that just about any team can rise up and win in March.
After all, that?s why they call it madness.
No 16-seed has ever beaten a 1-seed and there hasn?t been a 15-seed pull an upset in the tournament since 2001 when Hampton stunned Iowa State, but that didn?t stop Robert Morris from taking Villanova to the brink of elimination Thursday.
The Colonials led Nova 28-22 at the half and 55-47 with just over four minutes to play before falling to the second-seeded Wildcats on the first day of the 2010 tournament.
The fifth-ranked Buckeyes know all too well what it feels like to be upended in the opening round by an opponent from a less-known conference. Last year?s game may have been an 8-9 game, but not many were expecting Siena to knock the Bucks from the dance, especially when OSU had a 14-point lead in the second half.

UCSB shoots the 3 well, defends the 3 well and gets to the free throw line a lot.

Their problems are they are a weak offensive rebounding team (can't make us pay for our issues in this area) and they turn it over a lot.

I put a homer vbet down but I don't expect a cover. My rcash bet would be on the over.
