You might want to stay clear of ESPN's women's tourney coverage and their "Shawntelle" Lavender references, then.

I did see Doris Burke say that last night - disappointing to say the least.

UCSB / LBSU highlights

This may be more appropriate, as it's a 4 minute highlight video of the Big West Tournament championship game against Long Beach State.
Gaucho Hoops: Gauchos dance!

#33 is Orlando Johnson, 6'5" sophomore guard who was Big West Conference MVP.
#21 is James Nunnally, 6'5" sophomore wing who was 2nd team Big West, averaging 16 ppg, and shooting 45% from behind the 3 pt. arc.
#42 is James Powell, 6'2" senior shooting guard who is the all-time career leader with 218 3-point fg's.
#0 is sophomore Jaime Serna, our best forward at 6'7".
#55 is 7'3" sophomore Greg Somogyi, who recently set the Big West blocked shot record in a game with 8 against Fresno State in the bracket buster last month. He blocked 3 shots and scored 12 points in our loss against Cal in their tourney back in December. He plays better against athletic teams who want to challenge him.

what i want to see from osu against ucsb:

1. no injuries (duh). more specifically, i want to see a healthy team that is unaffected by the week's bout with the bug.

2. the shooters to be "on." most importantly, i want to see diebler hit his shots with better than 40% accuracy from distance. the competition will be weak, but a long range shooter can gain plenty of confidence by hitting against anyone.

3. lauderdale with a big night. we need the big guy to regain some confidence. his defense will generally be solid, but his offense has spiraled downward the last couple weeks.

4. spare minutes for the the four guards/forwards. i hope to see plenty of simmons, hill, kecman, and sarikopoulous in the second half. if our starters tally about 28 minutes apiece, i will be happy.

I agree regarding Lauderdale but I don't have much hope because I think he has lost all his confidence when it comes to the offensive side of the floor.

I also would like to see our bench did a little more time against the Gauchos but I don't think we will see you because I don't think this game will be a total blowout. Saw a little bit of the Gauchos in their conference final game and they are a nice team.

I just read in the Dispatch that about 7 Buckeyes have had the flu this week. Turner hasn't been sick, so lets hope he doesn't catch it, and that everyone else is up to full health by tomorrow.
Turner wasn't feeling well a week or so ago so he probably spread it to some of the other guys. It is good that we play late tomorrow.

the first game should start at noon. the final game should start at about 5 o'clock.

Well shit. The last train back from Milwaukee leaves at 7:35 that evening, probably wouldn't make it if we're in the late game. Is anyone from Chicago driving up for the games?
