Maybe they thought they could wait, and obviously they couldn't. I dont understand the "silliness" of this.

I'm sorry but this "waiting" thing is starting to bother me a bit with this staff. There won't be any new information until camps. So you either offer now or don't offer until the summer. And when the young man comes in from out of state, you offer (if you're going to offer) when he's here - not when he commits to some other school.

Pretty sure Coach Meyer & staff have a good handle on things & know what they're doing....

this is how we roll...and besides most of our good players are already committed elsewhere right now...they will eventually see the light and come over here

So we should just carpet-bomb with offers? Your Negative-Nancy act is getting old, really fast...

I'm not questioning the staff but it is odd. Sometimes coaches will go watch a prospect at a track meet and decide to offer (see Nathan Williams) but unless some other evaluation came recently, it's weird we didn't just offer when he visited.

That being said, tons of early commits elsewhere this year that were surprising and perhaps the staff was just as surprised here with Fisher. I fully expect chaos mode in recruiting this season and as such, I think we will see plenty of offers go out to commited guys.

We already are carpet bombing with offers, just not committable offers. Seems like there are recruits out there that don't even know where they stand right now (see Malik Zaire). But at least some of that is defensible because of the small class.

I don't know if Fisher does or doesn't deserve an offer. I just know it's non-sensical to wait until now to offer if they were going to do it all. If someone can provide a rational excuse, I'm open-minded to hear it.

Urban and the staff have proven to date they are non-sensicle in the way they recruit. So you're right, I completely understand now. They are clueless. :roll2:

If "this waiting thing" is bothering you under this staff, I can't imagine how you felt under the previous staff.

I just asked what I thought was a provocative question about Fisher's recruitment because it doesn't make sense. I shouldn't have generalized. I've been defensive of the waiting game if you've seen my posts in other threads (with the exception of Gedeon).

It's March 2nd and we already have a fourth of our recruiting class full with top notch talent and we're in on a lot of tremendous players. Many of which will be deciding before the summer. I would take a deep breath if I were you. We're doing just fine and this class is gonna be spectacular.
