Whatever that means. National honor society is a joke. I agree that when it comes to recruiting, NHS means a lot. But when it comes to grades, intelligence is measured by test scores. Those actually mean something. Many schools have volunteer hour requirements. Don't act like it's some big deal. The kid is doing what he is told to do, which is more impressive than the resume. At least to me. Most kid's have a problem with authority and he doesn't.

Eh, I agree with the guy that NHS is meaningless... I don't think any of the graduate students in my department were NHS, and I'd say we are pretty good students

That being said, kid seems to have a head on his shoulders... quick, tough, and cerebral = perfect linebacker imo
