Basketball is basketball and football is football. I can't think of another college basketball coach who has done what Crean is going to do to his own recruits. Feel free to provide an example of a coach who has signed 2 more players than he has graduating and/or is expecting to turn pro. I don't buy for a second that anyone other than Zeller is turning pro early.

I mentioned the Rod Smith situation as that's about as candid as I've ever heard a coach discuss such a thing. Be it football or basketball, that level of pressure is placed on underperforming players every day. That's the nature of the business.
I do think if Creen continues to over-recruit players, it'll come back and bite him in the ass, especially in-state. But then again, when you're recruiting top 20 players, I doubt they'll be concerned with the feelings of some second-rate Damon Bailey. At the end of the day, it's obviously about winning. Hoosier fans will gladly overlook these peccadillos if it means hanging banners. If loses start to pile up, these tactics will quickly become a concern.
