'13 MA OL John Montelus (Notre Dame Verbal)

The kid I am most interested in seeing senior film on is Gray from DC...he makes the All Off the Bus team and missed most of his junior year but still has an amazing offer list.

So Jim Bollman would be recruiting him at BC these days, correct?

Sadly, no :( Their TE coach Sean Devine heads the recruitment for all MA kids and since his hiring and promotion in recruiting has done a good job of jumping on kids early. That said, if we want Monty bad enough, I don't see anyone getting in the way.

So should Williams and Reeves be very helpful to New England recruiting? By the sounds of it we are in good shape? As an aside, LOVE this offer. Huge upside and I wouldn't be surprised to see his stock shoot through the roof by the final rankings. Ideal class to me is Montelus, Pocic, Bivin, and Lisle.

Definitely helps in my opinion; New England has really seen an increase in talent lately and it's only going to increase in MA, NJ and an out of nowhere powerhouse in Delaware's Red Lion Christian Academy.

Ohio State has always held a strong intrigue in New England though and kids in that area are very receptive - it's just a perfect storm for us as Urban has been focusing on that area and the talents increasing there, best of both worlds. Plus, ACC schools have really struggled recruiting wise so the door is as wide open as it's going to get.

And from what some guys at BC and UF are saying (UF also has offered), OSU is the team to beat but will still get plenty of comp from both those schools and WVU.

New England kids don't grow up with a favorite college team, so landing a couple of MA kids can't hurt. Then again, New England recruiting=Eastern Mass. recruiting since the level of competition throughout the rest of the area is lacking.

Thanks for the input. Great news! It certainly would not hurt and Urban's presence in the area with guys like Hernandez certainly doesn't hurt.

Well yea, the talent in New England is going to increase if you keep stretching its boundaries southward. Why stop at New Jersey and Delaware? There's tons of talent in Maryland and Virginia. :p

Despite my best efforts, very few of my friends in HS were OSU fans. Seems like they all jumped on the Florida bandwagon. Nothing that a few NC's and Urban Meyer can't fix, of course. Also, for some reason NJ is much better than MA in terms of football. BC High shut out Catholic Memorial (i.e. Cam William and Armani Reeves' school) last year, but they later got absolutely toasted by two teams from NJ. Still, we're on the upside. I'll hopefully go and watch John play during break
