Nooooo offense but has he seen the video of Bo Pelini(coach Kelly has done much the same) and his qb on the sidelines.....noway ever will you see that with coach Tressel. I think Mack Brown, Mark Richt and Jim Tressel are the class act of ncaa football. I suppose you can`t win them all. Go bucks

Tressel doesn't negatively recruit, so he wouldn't show a player video of an opposing coach going innapropriately nuclear in someones face on the sidelines.

Some recruits have specifically mentioned that as a reason they chose Ohio State over other schools.

This is clearly a year that negative recruiting against Ohio State is plentiful. It also seems to be having an affect on McMullen. If people want Ohio State to fight fire with fire, someone else will have to do it because Tressel and his staff won't.

JT does his talkin' between the lines ask NW the last few times we played them. Make no mistake under the vest is a stone cold killer. I feel bad for the programs kicking us while we are down.....

My point was I wish the best for Mr. McMullen but our coach didnt have a student assistant lose his life because of a horrible decision....and it still blows my mind that we are on espin everyday when a SA lost his life to a bad staff/coaching decision. Our coaches doesnt have (Bob Knight type) videos up like he is going to eat a players face off during a game. I realize that JT is not perfect neither is tOSU....but come on and I for one believe that JT will stand by his players no matter what. Go Bucks

Not that anyone has outright said it, but to say that Nebraska is leading for McMullen because of negative recruiting doesn't really understand the recruiting process. Negative recruiting may keep Greg from going to OSU but it won't be the reason he selects Nebraska or any other school for that matter. The Nebraska staff has done a fantastic job of recruiting Greg and anyone recruiting against OSU who isn't bringing up JT and the program's troubles is not recruiting very smart.

And by now I would think the "That may go on at other schools but JT and this staff wouldn't" argument has been thoroughly refuted. JT may not negatively recruit directly but you can get this staff will point out perceived chinks in other programs' armor, just like other staffs do.

The facts on McMullen are pretty simple to me...the Nebraska staff has great ties to Ohio and they have made Greg one of their top targets. They have convinced him to visit with more trips planned and each time he visits he seems to come away Lincoln more and more impressed.

OSU's staff will certainly not go down without a fight...and that includes Wormley, Pittman, Lewis, Strobel and Odenigbo.

Tressel will point out how far away Nebraska is and how difficult it will be for his family to see him play there. That is certainly a form of negative recruiting.

However, I highly doubt that he will show clips of Pelini going ballistic in players faces on the sidelines, as a part of his pitch which was suggested earlier. Do you agree?
