Didn't this guy say Neal was a lock this morning?

Well, in a sense he's right (if the story holds that tOSU didn't take him). Farrell probably heard that he was going to commit, and that's why he said that he was for sure going to tOSU. I'm sure he didn't expect tOSU to turn him down (if true, of course).

Very interesting situation. Have to think that maybe the staff likes where they are at with Diggs and all these new found good feelings with him may be more than internet fodder.

Kind of makes me think maybe the staff didn't expect to get one of Marcus or Dodson...intially, Neal's father said Meyer assured him they would wait for Davonte's decision and have a spot for him. Of course this doesn't necessarily mean Diggs is ours, but talk was certainly starting to heat up for Diggs, so that is my best guess at this point.

Signing Day is of course only the first day that players can sign, and these kids and their families have every right to wait. Spots become scarce though and sometimes these programs have to move on. Can't say he didn't have his chance. If the timelines don't match up, it wasn't meant to be. See also: Buster Davis.

I don't agree in most cases. Players and their families have a very long time before today to check out all the schools and make a decision. If you still can't make up your mind at this point, what more information do you need that you haven't had a chance to get yet? I understand it is a big decision and sometimes a tough one. But at some point you have to make it.

that makes me sad :(

if true
If true, this makes me happy. There is no doubt about Neal's ability. However, if the coaches wouldn't accept his commitment then they must believe it is not in the best interest of tOSU to accept. Whether it be Diggs or other issues, this is a trust the coaches situation.
