"Neal has eliminated Oklahoma, the new home of former UA coaches Mike Stoops and Tim Kish and Ohio State from contention."

So he eliminated tOSU and not the other way around? Answers my question about why Luke Neal would say he knew nothing about Meyer turning Davonte away.

tOSU called Neal and broke up with him first before he could call and break up with us...therefore we win

this is standard practice 1st-12th grade

Florida makes late run at Neal, more recruiting notes

After losing out on heralded receiver Stefon Diggs on Friday when he committed to Maryland, Florida put a call into Scottsdale Chaparral football coach David Huffine to see if two-time All-Arizona receiver Davonte' Neal would be receptive.

Luke Neal said his son won't look beyond the four schools he has narrowed it to: Arizona, Arkansas, North Carolina and Notre Dame.

Ohio State also lost out on Diggs, but has not tried to come back after Neal, his father said.

Neal won't narrow his list any before Feb. 21 when he plans to sign his letter of intent at the same time he announced his college choice during a news conference at his former Ahwatukee elementary school.

Davonte said he chose to do it there because that is where football began for him.

No go: Davonte' Neal postpones announcement on college football destination

Davonte' Neal waited nearly three weeks after Signing Day to set up a major announcement for his college decision ... and then didn't show up.

There was 35-minute program set up at his former elementary school -- Kyrene de la Esperanza, where about 600 children were pulled out of class to sit on the floor while waiting for a high school football star.
There was no official word from the family, but speculation from The Arizona Republic's Dick Obert, appearing on the live webcast on FoxSportsArizona.com, was that there was a late clash of wills in the Neal family.

Davonte' apparently has wanted to attend Arizona. His father, Luke Neal, is pushing for Notre Dame.Arkansas and North Carolina have been the other finalists.

Reportedly transferring out of Notre Dame to be closer to home and his infant child, according to the Arizona Daily Star: http://bit.ly/15SDo4z

Writer of the article jumps to the conclusion that he's headed to U of Arizona, but he has not been released from his ND scholarship yet. Will be interesting to keep an eye on this one.
