'11 PA TE Ben Koyack (Notre Dame Signee)

Feel good about this one, we have been in this alot longer then ND and OSU was his top school at one point. He is probably going to the ND spring game because he hasn't been there before, but he has been to the USC game and multiple camps at OSU. Like I said, our chances are good with this one.

ND is definitely a formidable opponent for Ben's services, considering the passing-attack offenses Brian Kelly employs. A TE who is as good of a receiver as Ben is has to take that into pretty heavy consideration, regardless of what he says about TE usage in the passing game. (And in his case, he's waffled on that a few times)

And yeah, I definitely wasn't expecting PSU to be out of it already. I really wish he were coming to our spring game this weekend.

You guys do realize that just because he had OSU as his top choice at one time, means absolutely nothing when it comes to NSD? We have seen a number of players who we felt very good about and thought we had exceptional chances, only to watch them sign elsewhere(i.e. Shariff Floyd). With high profile guys you never know what to expect, and its so difficult with high profile 17 and 17 year olds. Hope we land him in the end, but we have a while to go with his decision IMO

I think that goes without saying for any recruit.

Suck it, Larry Johnson.

It's already a victory for us as long as he doesn't end up at that school with that man.

Dude, he played football with the guys from Remember the Titans, he's smarter than any coach in the NFL, especially the ones that are part of the Chiefs organization. Get real broskie.

I was actually referring to his dad, the most negative recruiter in the Big Ten.

Yeah, that's what I meant to say, in reference to Larry JR's twitter tirade...

Anyways, Ben seems like a kid with his head on straight, not just from his elimination of the Nittany Kitty Cats but just in general with the way he's handled this process. I've got a good feeling about him and hope he comes our way.
