Keeping quiet with Caputo
Trying to handicap the race for West Allegheny, Pa., blue-chip linebacker Michael Caputo, one of the top junior Keystone State prospects? The winner for his signature could be whoever does the best job of selling Caputo on its program while also keeping it low-key.
Caputo, you see, isn't one for the limelight and could easily be turned off by glitzy sales jobs and over-aggressive fawning. He's looking for a straight-up, honest approach without a lot of hype and promises.
"He's kind of a throwback. He doesn't need all of the stroking and all of that like a lot of these kids," said a source close to Caputo's recruitment. "He's not going to put out a list of, this school is No. 1 and this school is No. 2. That's not him. He's not high-maintenance. He's not gonna marry the prom queen. He's not into all of that."
Along those lines, look for Caputo to take visits this spring and likely come to an early decision with little fanfare ? i.e. the big press conference or televised hat selection.
According to our source, Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Bradley has done a good job maintaining contact and showing interest in Caputo without smothering the understated junior. This one could very well come down to Penn State, Pitt and Ohio State, all of whom have offered.

BuckeyeLiger87;1684117; said:I don't think Penn St. or tOSU have any issues in finding LB and they both want this kid so when he's 225+ in college that won't be too small for LB while Grace and Sturdivant(who I think will get his offer) will both probably out grow the position. I also like Poole a lot as well so I understand where your coming from but I think you're underestimating this kid's athletic ability.
I like this kid, he has a nose for the ball and is very athletic.MD Buckeye;1710124; said:Scout $ - Caputo names a top four

I can't remember the last time Michigan made a top four of an tOSU recruit.....gotta love it.
