'11 IN DT Kris Harley (Virginia Tech Signee)

I trust the staff and all, but I don't agree with the way this recruitment is going at all....

I also trust this staff completely. I'm sure there are no less than a dozen DL prospects they have on their board. Harley being one of them. Attending camp could "earn" him the offer. In the end I'm sure we will get two or three quality interior DL linemen.

I think it's clear that we are moving towards bigger framed interior DL and SSDE's (Hankins, Farris, Bennett, etc.)... We played a lot of 3-4 type looks last year, and you have to have bigger personnel for that...

Simon is the lone exception on the team to that regard, but he is taller than Harley, has longer arms, and is stronger (freakishly strong)...

I'm sure if staff, who saw him at camp last summer remember, were sure he had the frame to hold the weight, they would offer...

Scout $ - Cincinnati Impresses Harley
By Allen Wallace

The Buckeye coaches haven't contacted him in a while & he's concentrating on schools that have offered... Found a high comfort level at Cincy & looking forward to his junior day visit to Va. Tech... As for USC, he knows they're a winning program & he likes the weather... No leader, no time table but doesn't want to rush it...

Really enjoyed the visit to junior day & the chance to spend some time with ex teammate Darren Evans... Harley is down to Va. Tech & Oklahoma... Accompanied by their coach, he couldn't say enough good things about the Hokie program & the family atmosphere they have created... Harley won't be able to make it back for a while due to his track schedule...
