'11 GA LB James Vaughters (Stanford Signee)

It will be interesting to hear James's reaction to Georgia's defensive coaching staff getting fired. DC Willie Martinez, LB coach John Jancek, and DE coach Jon Fabris were axed.

Some early reports that Defensive line coach and Recruiting Coordinator Rodney Garner has left the team as well.

I don't think it will matter in the end though - this kid is in prime uga breeding ground.

It's obviously early, but have there been any rumblings as to who his early favorites are?

I think when Tress gets done with his visit we should get a serious look, given our success with LB'ers. Is depth chart a concern of his?

Tech, Georgia look for finishing touches on Class of 2010
5:43 pm January 29, 2010, by Chip Towers

...
VAUGHTERS DRAWS CROWD

If what is happening right now is any indication, recruiting is going to be bananas for Tucker linebacker JamesVaughters over the next year.

This past week alone, Vaughters had visits from Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp; North Carolina coach Butch Davis; Alabama coach Nick Saban; Georgia coaches Mark Richt, Rodney Garner and Todd Grantham; and Tech coaches Paul Johnson and Brian Jean-Mary. The previous week coaches stopped by from Stanford, Ohio State, Florida, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Maryland and N.C. State among others.

?It?s been a whirlwind two to three weeks,? said James? father, Johnathan Vaughters.

2011 linebackers

James Vaughters is a tackling machine. A tackling machine with speed and a motor that will not stop. He is physical enough to line up at nose tackle sometimes. He may have the most to learn as he has played a lot with his hand in the dirt. I don't see a single play out there of him playing the pass and he does not have the size DePriest and Thomas have. Explosive at the point of attack. It would be easier to list the schools he does not have an offer from than it would be to list all his offers. Before you write off a superstar from the state of Georgia, Vaughters family is based in Ohio. His parents are both from Ohio. His grandparents and several cousins still live here. He was here for the USC game and was up to look around last summer.
