Ja?Juan Story more comfortable with UF
by Edward Aschoff
Ja?Juan Story hasn?t completely made up his mind, but he?s a little more comfortable with his current college decision after a week in Orlando for the Under Armour All-America Game.
The Brooksville Nature Coast wide receiver ? and Florida commit ? had been wavering on his verbal to the Gators since Urban Meyer decided to resign. Since then, Georgia, Oregon and Ohio State have emerged as teams he has gained interest in.
After hanging out with fellow Gator commits ? quarterback Jeff Driskel and tight end A.C. Leonard ? on his Click-Clack team, Story said his positive feelings toward Florida are increasing.
?It makes me feel better, like it will be all right and it will be straight (at Florida),? Story said.
Driskel became Story?s primary recruiter during the week. Story said Driskel continually told him not to worry about who the new coaches might be, even if it was Santa Claus.
Well, Santa Claus wasn?t hired, but former Notre Dame and NFL offensive coordinator Charlie Weis was. Story said he hasn?t kept up with too much of what Weis has done with the Kansas City Chiefs, but he is impressed with his years in the NFL.
?He?s really good,? Story said of Weis. ?He?s been with all these different teams in the NFL, so that?s even better.
?I?m pretty sure he?s going to throw it a lot in a pro-style offense.?
