'11 FL DB Jabari Gorman (Florida Signee)

Scout $ - Gorman Gives The Latest

3/18

By The Bank...talks about how 7on7 has helped his game...most interested in Miami, Ohio State, LSU, Ole Miss, Wake Forest and Alabama...talks about the Canes, OSU and Alabama.

OSU is going to get a great shot at Gorman if he does what he is considering which is coming up for the spring game, summer camp and making his official for the Miami game...that is three visits in less than five months.

The feeling in Florida is Miami if they really go after him hard. Fortunately for the rest of CFB, Shannon has an aversion to short defensive backs and rarely pursues them.

Understandable... which brings up this question. The first page profile has him listed at 5-11, two posts later an article has him at 5-10 and yet another the next post or two has him at 5-9...

If his recruitment (and this thread) continue, he'll be 5'3" in no time...

and then, only Mich1gAAn will be pursuing him

Jabari Gorman, Monsignor Pace (Miami, Fla.) DB
Gorman comes from a great program that has produced BCS level talent at defensive back and by the end of the 2010 season it?s safe to say he will be added to the list. He had little to prove by attending the combine, but you could not tell. At just under 5-foot-10, the playmaking corner ran a 4.67 40-yard dash and leaped 37 inches on the vertical test. He added a recent offer from North Carolina last week and has Alabama, Miami and Ohio State at the top of his list of offers.

by the way, Jabari's 40-yd time as well as vertical jump measurements did improve! Keep up the good work, dude!

The spring game will be nice and all from a recruiting stand point (fingers crossed that Miller verbals), but if we can rock UMiami with all of the Fla players (and others) expected to take officials for that game... could be a very beneficial for this years ('11) and next years ('12) crop of recruits.

Nothing helps us gain in-roads to Fla like smacking one of their flagship schools... on national television.

(not to mention the repeat bruising to be dished out in their backyard the year after... I can just imagine some high profile recruits that take officials to UMiami for that game, "hmmm maybe I should consider the Buckeyes??)

Usually doesn't work that way. Kids that grew up Canes fans aren't going to jump ship based on a regular season game. They are just as likely to want to join the Canes and help them get back to the top, then jump ship and join Ohio State.

Scout $ - 'Canes Look Strong for Gorman

By Allen Wallace...says Miami and OSU stand out above the rest but that OSU might be a little far but still a great school...talks about Coach Shannon at Miami and Coach Haynes at OSU.

Hopefully he can get up to Cbus and talk with some of our FL guys like Rolle, Sabino, Howard and Brewster and realize that being far from home can be a good thing, and open some doors. I realize some of the FL boys(or OOS kids for that matter) like to have their family see them play live, but the OSU atmosphere is second to none. And Miami couldn't/doesn't produce the same gametime atmosphere.
