OK, so I guess nobody remembers Billy Milligan.
When I met Billy Milligan, he was a maintenance man at Channingway Apartments in Reynoldsburg. It was then a new apartment complex and I used to be there on business about once a week (furniture), really to visit a really hot lady who managed the rental agency by the name of Linda Rose. A couple of times he was among a group of maintenance men who were working in model apartments we set up. Seemed a bit quiet but friendly and I was too busy looking at Linda Rose to really notice old Billy much.
Anyway, one day a SWAT team showed up and arrested old Billy. Turns out he was a serial rapist with 24 personalities. I think he was the first and most complex case of multiple personality disorder ever documented. Became the subject of a book and I heard Danny DeVito was working on a movie in the late 1990s.
He was arrested a few years ago in California, the state of Ohio was chasing him to pay for ten years of hospitalization, and he was otherwise unable to enjoy the success of his book sales.
I read somewhere that he wanted to move back East, close to Ohio but not in it because of the law suit.
