'10 OH S Ray Vinopal (Michigan Signee; transfer to Youngstown State)

I know that UM doesn't do the Gold Pants thing, but worst case Vinopal should leave with four or five of these:

Its called the Crystal Tear Drop and was established in honor of Shawn Crable and Prescott Burgess.

I really think this one will. White DBs just don't get must respect to begin with, let alone short (5-11) white DBs who play on awesome teams, where everyone is spiting time and starters are out by the 4th quarter. Barring injuries he will be all Big-Ten before he graduates, mark my words.

What does that have to do with anything?

...f.y.i. Tressel did come in to speak with him earlier in the month, asked if he wanted to visit, he said no b/c they hadn't talk to him all season and he wasn't interested in leaving UM.

That's because he isn't there yet. Give it time and he'll wish he had gone somewhere better, like, say, Appalachian State.

Anybody see him trip over himself trying to run down Ford on his long TD run? It was funny and sad at the same time because you almost feel bad for him since he has no business being on the field as a true freshman in a Big Ten game.

I didn't know who it was, but I rewinded to watch it a handful of times and called the wife in to watch it too

I thought he made a good tackle in the hole at a crucial juncture in the game that forced Illinois to pass for a touchdown in overtime.

I think you're giving him a bit too much credit for that play. First of all, he was untouched--no Illinois blocker came close to him and he filled the hole to meet the Illinois RB. That was a play that any safety in college football (not to mention just about everyone on BP) could make. Second of all, he didn't make the tackle. Instead, he stopped the RB initially, but the play was only over when several UM defenders came over and actually brought the RB to the ground, something Vinopal couldn't do.

I was mostly complimenting him on not getting trucked. The entire post was more of a joke.
