'10 OH PG Brook Turson (CMU Verbal)

I hear the Coaches son Trey is the real deal. An All-American that turned down ScUM, and Sparty amongst other big school to play for his Dad.
Now add Brook and thats a heck of a haul for Central Michigan. Practice will be pretty competitive. Should be a nice 4-5 years for Brook. Central Michigan has a really nice campus, plenty of community support for the university sports programs. I've heard it call a really mini- Ohio State campus. Ohio University looks really good on paper also. Should be fun.

Jackson from Benedictine looked like a stud in the state playoffs. He made Cameron Wright look like a role player, but that's for another thread. Looks like Brook will be in a pretty good situation regardless.

BASKETBALL - Plymouth's Turson switches to CMU

BY DON HOHLER - Reflector Sportswriter | Tuesday June 08 2010, 10:08am

Another college coach leaves for greener pastures and another area recruit uses his option to go elsewhere.

Plymouth?s All-Ohio basketball player, Brook Turson was signed, sealed and delivered to Robert Morris outside of Pittsburgh until coach Mike Rice, along with an assistant on that staff, made the decision to take positions at Rutgers.

?When Brook heard this, he asked out of his national letter of intent and it was granted,? said his father, Brad Turson during the state track and field championships at Jesse Owens Stadium in Columbus. He was there watching Brook?s run as a member of the school?s 1600-meter relay team.

?Even more current on this is the fact that Brook committed to Central Michigan on Thursday,? Turson said. ?Central was always his second choice. He was very fortunate that a recruit opening remained there.?

Turson explained that his son chose Robert Morris because of the school?s recent success and the relationship he built with Jimmy Martelli, his recruiter.
