Anyone know how he feels about OSU? I read on another board that his father played for UC, so that can't help...

St. Xavier junior OL Matt James has offers from UC, Illinois and Tennessee, St. X football coach Steve Specht said in an e-mail this afternoon.
James, who is 6 feet 7 and about 290 pounds, is one of the state's top 2010 prospects.

As for James, I haven't taken the time to watch/search for any film of him, but if he was a sophomore starting for a program like St. Xavier, I know that he is legit. They play the toughest schedule anywhere, so if he's a standout already, he's going to be scary.

Specht said junior OL Matt James, who has missed the first two games with an ankle injury, is back to practice. Specht is uncertain whether James will return for Friday's home game against Indianapolis Cathedral. Both teams are 1-1.
"Matt has had two good practices," Specht said. "We will reevaluate his conditioning and how he feels today before making a decision."
Updating Mike's recruiting notes: Specht said James also was offered officially today by Michigan and Duke. That adds to a list of offers that includes Ohio State, UC, Illinois and Tennessee.
