Baldwin and Gholston are both a lot like Doug Worthington or Cam Heyward in that they probably will end up sliding down to DT at least occasionally. Not sure what the deal is with Gholstons offer but I wouldn't call him a lock to OSU because of his cousin by any means. I'm not even sure he'll end up with an offer but I would suspect because of his size an athletic ability he gets one in jan. or feb before the next junior day when the next set of offers go out.

If he commits to MSU, I would not be surprised if OSU backs off as a sign of respect for Dantonio.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking as well. I hope not, because Gholston is a stud. Would LOVE to land him.

What's changed is he has an offer from MSU and not tOSU. I think he's a Buckeye if offered.

That is true and won't deny that. If he was offered by you guys it will change things but I don't think he would commit on the spot.

It will be interesting to see, the longer the recruitment goes the better it is for you guys and Michigan.

After watching Wootton from Northwester last night I think he may be a good comparison to Gholston. He'll have no trouble getting to 270 and if he can keep his quicks he could be a nightmare coming off the edge.

no doubt in my mind. He's a great run stopper as well as a pass rusher. Far better than his cousin at this stage. Remains to be seen if he's as dedicated. Vernon was the all-time theft in recruiting for JT.

so what are you hearing about an offer from OSU? with such a small [apparent] class, it seems like we are slow/deliberate on offers, especially OOS.

From Gator Country...visiting UF with his teammate and is hoping they offer his teammate because they would like to go to the same school...says he is wide open to everyone and is being recruited at both DE and OLB.

Detroit Southeastern has two recruits aside from Gholston who are expected to get D-I attention: Jonathon Hankins, a big DT, and Edward Thomas, a QB. Hankins seems to be more highly regarded at this time.

It looked pretty good once the DL started to mature. I don't think DE is a huge need at this point.
