#10 Loyola Chicago vs #7 tOSU, Fri 3/18, 12:15 ET on CBS

Spring optimism, but IF they get by Loyola, I don’t know that Nova is an insurmountable task. They are very good and play solid but the (healthy) Bucks play similarly.

Long way from here to there.

Hey, if the Bucks want to go on a crazy Final Four run my bracket can go to hell. It probably will anyway.

But OSU players, speaking here on Thursday, said coach Chris Holtmann and his staff have done a good job of maintaining a positive outlook as the opportunity to play in the NCAA Tournament was approaching.

“I definitely think there's a balance between learning from what happened and also being able to turn the page and being positive because there's still season left,” OSU center Joey Brunk said. “I think our coaching staff and Coach Holtmann have done a good job finding a balance between those two things. We want to improve but we also know there's still opportunity in front of us, and it's an important perspective to have that it's not necessarily all doom and gloom despite a few tough nights.”

Forward EJ Liddell added, “We've had the same approach, honestly, like Joey said, but it's not like the season was over. Rough couple weeks, but we had to all buy-in. We made it to March Madness, and now we have to prove ourselves, honestly. We have to have that underdog mentality because I feel like a lot of people have been counting us out recently.

“I feel like people forgot about how we play when we're fully healthy and we're all locked into everything. Come tomorrow, y'all will see a different team.”

Just a day after both players were limited in Ohio State's open practice session at PPG Paints Arena, Kyle Young (concussion) and Zed Key (ankle) have both been cleared to play in Ohio State's NCAA Tournament opener against No. 10 seed Loyola.

I think the Bucks will probably win today. Because I’m feeling angst about them losing. And lately they’ve been winning games I expect them to lose and losing games I expect them to win. And because they started out as underdogs. (It’s currently a pick’em.) And because of their choke job against ORU last year. They’d damn well better come out motivated as hell.

LET’S GO BUCKS!!!
