southcampus;1405828; said:Not to get too far off track from Jones, but what do you think recruits are saying when they see an offer from those schools only to notice the school has offered anyone with a pulse? To me, it sort of takes some of the luster or excitement away from the offer where as opposed to a program like Ohio State or Texas for example, tend to offer kids they are serious about, not just throwing out a line and hoping to catch something. I don't know, just thinking out loud I guess.
Anyway, sorry about getting off topic, just curious as to what recruits like this say when they open up the envelope.

But to be fair to schools like Michigan, tennessee, Standford, they don't have the luxury of tOSU, Texas where the can use their state and fill most of their class, then go after kids they are know are interested from OOS...Schools like tennessee have to go nationally and try and gauge a lot of guys interest...They have probably sent offers to 15-20 kids already that they already know they wont be pursuing because there was no interest from them...
BTW I saw the list yesterday I think Tennessee has offered 47 guys or something like that...
Well Stanford has a narrower recruit range than anyone else. How many recruits with good enough grades, that aren't already going to USC/UCLA/Cal are in cali ?sepia5;1405991; said:Stanford is in California. I know they have to compete with USC, UCLA, and CAL, but man that state has a lot of talent . . . .
Enough to fill a third of their 14th ranked class this time around (14 of 22 were OOS commits, most from TX).xcrunner;1406510; said:Well Stanford has a narrower recruit range than anyone else. How many recruits with good enough grades, that aren't already going to USC/UCLA/Cal are in cali ?
