Clemson in the hunt for top LB prospect
By Phil Kornblut
LB Jeff Luc (6-1 240) of Port St. Lucie, FL is one of the most heavily recruited players in the country at his position with over 50 offers. Luc (pronounced Luck) said he's in the process of narrowing his list and hasn't completed the task. But one school he said which probably will be on his shot list is Clemson. Luc visited there a couple of weeks ago. "I like the coaches," Luc said. "They really care about the players." Luc also has visited Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Tennessee, Duke and North Carolina, and he plans to visit Florida State. Luc has been humbled by all the attention but doesn't want to take all the credit. "This would not be possible without my coaching staff and teammates," he said. Luc plans a December decision and is graduating early. A middle linebacker, Luc had 125 tackles and nine sacks last season.

Look test...passed.Jeff says his last name is properly pronounced "Luke" and he is not ready to narrow anything yet. He does say he has a good relationship with the staffs at the in-state schools. Jeff says he likes every school right now and he is trying to graduate early.
