  8. Not only was I a terrible little-league baseball player, it is likely that no one who reads this has ever met a person who is more unathletic than I am.

I debated long and hard over how revealing to be.....prepare yourself for the sorriest collection of lifetime accomplishments ever assembled.

  1. I suck at baseball. Always have, always will. My hand-eye coordination is on par with that of a below-average 6 year old. Little League participation rules were made for people like me. I don't think I ever got a base hit. I did walk a lot, so I had that going for me...which was nice.
  2. I suck at basketball, too. I was racking up the trillions in middle school church-league basketball while Titus was still in elementary school.
  3. I finished fourth in the county spelling bee in fifth grade. Eliminated when I spelled feasibility as "feasability".
  4. I appeared on Baltimore's high school trivia show and fucked up the only math question they asked us.
  5. I don't particularly care for the entirety of the state located directly north of Ohio
  6. I have no tattoos or piercings of any kind
  7. I have never been involved with the police, not even a speeding ticket. The closest was when the police came to my apartment thinking I was abusing Mrs. Katt, when I was actually just watching an OSU-Wisconsin (Fuck Bucky!) basketball game.
  8. I took ballet from the age of 5 to 12, dancing in BalletMet's annual performance of the Nutcracker. Gosh, I wonder why my childhood sucked. Bad at sports, a complete nerd, and a ballet dancer. Jesus, my parents owe me a huge fucking apology.
  9. My senior year of high school, a female friend convinced me to return to dance. I'm quite certain there are pictures of me in tights somewhere on the internet, but I don't think even shetuck could find them. No, I was not able to parlay the ballet into the horizontal tango.
  10. Despite all evidence to the contrary, I'm not a homo.

Upon further review, I should have put in mine that the only time I have been involved with the police was when some lady called 911 and reported a gunfight when my friends and I were playing laser tag. The cop couldn't stop laughing after he pulled in, saw the little red lights and admitted he thought he was facing a bunch of people with laser sighted guns. We ended up with two cruisers there at which point they called HQ and canceled further backup.

Or the number 12 listed twice thus making it 13. :tongue2:

Like BuckyKatt said, it's difficult to come up with ten things that are interesting without being either too revealing or too embarrassing:

1. I lettered in five different sports in high school (yes, including baseball). I did not play sports in college because I was burned out.
2. My favorite personal sports memory came while playing cricket. During law school, I had a summer clerkship with a firm in London. The firm had a cricket team, and they invited me to play in a match, even though I had never played the game before. I was in the "outfield" when the best batsman on the opposing team hit a long line drive over my head that should have been a "home run". However, I made a running, one-handed (they don't use gloves), over-the-shoulder catch for the "out". After the match, the batsman came up to me and said, "How in the Hell did you catch that ball? I've never seen anyone make a catch like that!"
3. My real name is not Jeff. For those who don't yet know, my username refers to my alma mater, Amherst College, whose teams are called the "Lord Jeffs".
4. I went to Amherst College because I wasn't accepted at Dartmouth, which had been my favorite school since childhood. If I had gotten in, my username would now be BigGreenBuck, which doesn't have quite the same ring to it.
5. For four years, I was a DJ on my college's radio station.
6. I have several noteworthy ancestors, including politicians, a poet, a philosopher, and a traitor.
7. Ohio State football is the only team that I follow on a regular basis. I am a casual fan of the Indians and the Cavaliers, and an ex-fan of the Browns.
8. Despite the fact that I am a huge Ohio State fan, I own no Buckeye gear.
9. I love movies, and and for the past 15 years or so, I have rated every movie that I have watched during that time (1,245 and counting).
10. I love to go shopping, especially for clothes; I even help my wife with her clothes shopping.
