'10 CA QB Nick Montana (Washington Signee; transfer to Tulane)

Rivals $

4/30

From the LSU site...says he is a lot more wide open than people realize...denies he is an ND lock...likes the idea of playing in a more pro-styled offense...talks about his contact with the LSU staff.

I still think he ends up at tOSU. Our depth chart looks way more appealing than those others teams he is interested in and our program is no worse than any of them either. Parents love Jim Tressel and our campus. I like our chances.

Hopefully this turns out well in the end. Anybody know if Georgia is recruiting any other QB's or have any scholarships out to any QB's besides Montana? Judging from the Georgia offense, I would guess they would come off more appealing, especially after having the number 1 pick in the draft. Figure this comes down to some Tressel magic hopefully.:oh:

You would think that the ability to come in and understudy Pryor for a year or so would appeal to him. At least if he looks at our offense as a "pro" one. I'm not clear whether Mom has seen our campus. Has she? Hopefully, Tress is the ace in the hole in this one.

Go Bucks!

Mom came with him when he visited earlier this year. I would bet that Dad would make the next one.

Of course the fact that they brought in two big-time QB's in last years class should offset some of that appeal.

Bingo...Mettenberger and Murray are both studs. Imo, there is no way that neither one ends up being a good to great QB. The depth is obviously in our favor but that isn't always what prevails. However, if it was a close call, I would have to think that would tip the scales in our favor.
