Not to mention they are probably going to get Jake Heaps this year... BIG time QB from Washington, rated as one of the best this year.
I was unaware that Heaps had high interest in the Huskies. Here's to hoping he verbals there quickly
At this point, ND, UGA, and tOSU seem to be the names I see popping up the most. Buckeye-ism aside, our program seems like the obvious choice if your looking at depth chart. It doesn't seem that distance is going to play a factor and even if he denies it, I really don't think Nick, or his parents, would see it as a good thing to be competing for playing time against his older brother. Throw in the discussions about Joe not exactly seeing eye to eye with sir-eatsalot and it just doesn't seem like a perfect fit. I'm yet to find a reason against tOSU.
When I look at his top 7, I see this:
Notre Dame- Very deep at QB position, future is very unpredictable with respect to coaching. Great tradition, brother on team, that sort of stuff.
Georgia- Depth Chart is crazy deep but just had a 1st pick in the draft QB and tons of receivers and TEs in the system is enticing
Stanford- Not a 1st tier, or a second tier for that matter, program. Program on the rise I guess you could say but some questions about whether Harbaugh will actually stay there. Great education, still in Cali. Still, I don't see this as what Nick Montana would fit into.
LSU- Great program, in the SEC. Depth chart is a question mark. Just brought in Russell Shepard but is he going to be playing QB? Education is pretty iffy.
Washington- Program that is under new leadership and will undoubtably be heading in a more productive direction under Sark and company. Still not a good program currently and will have their work cut out for them. Left coast location and I don't know much about the depth chart or who they are bringing in.
The Ohio State University offers stability (unlike Notre Dame), a lacking depth chart (Unlike Georgia), a top notch education (Unlike LSU), and a top notch program NOW (Unlike Washington and Stanford). I think we win this one.
