#1 LSU vs #3 Clemson, CFP Title Game, Mon Jan 13th 8 pm ET from New Orleans

Well their defense got exposed again. Their DC is just an upgraded version of Don Brown but with better players. One LSU adjusted to all the different blitz packages it was "turn out the lights the party is over." Don't get me wrong he is still a good DC but just like the guy up north he is a one trick pony....he has to bring the heat every play. If they don't get there on time they become exposed. Joe did a great job in getting into the proper line calls and the OC used their aggressiveness against them. After that Clemson had no answers and they were given a reprieve for a couple of series when Joe got hurt.....

Eh. He lost the job and left. It happens. His meteoric rise has been as fantastic as it has been unexpected. Haskins would've left and competed for a Heisman elsewhere as well.

There really was no wrong answer. Haskins set school records and was a far better QB last year. Fields exceeded all expectations and could be an all time great depending on his development. And we're also assuming Burrows would be the exact same player here today as he is at LSU. No guarantee of that without Brady and those WRs. Day is probably the best or among the best QB coaches in the country, but sometimes things just click with other guys.

Yeah, that and probably having a bit of a chip on his shoulder for not beating out Haskins (injury or no injury). Getting beat out the first time in ones life can be a powerful motivator, even for the most level headed of us.

The fans seemed pretty level in that thread. They just stop short of saying that the Wade ejection was bullshit, too. Because, that might make it seem like Clemson isn't that good outside of the ACC cupcakes.

Next year it won't get any less cupcakey for them

Minus 2 major flubs (because its been shown the 1st loss does not count for Clemson, no matter who it's against. Much like SEC teams) they are pretty much assured to be in the playoff again.

2020 Road Schedule for Clemson includes:

ND
Boston College
FSU
Wake
GaTech

Not terribly difficult, but tougher than this years schedule.

I dont think i'd call any of those games outside of ND "difficult" by any means.

Wake Forest would be the "toughest" but they are likely to take a down dip next season. FSU is trash until they prove otherwise
