I could see why someone wouldn't like it, but I can only see someone saying that it "fucking sucked" if they were under the influence of anything, or if they have motion sickness. It's non-stop running and shaking.

Don't go in expecting an elaborate story..

I think of Rotten Tomatoes as one of the more reliable review sites, and it has a 75% rating. That's a solid rating if you're not familiar with that site.

I think that I'm more disturbed by Taos writing with a japanese accent than I will be with this movie.

For a "monster movie" per se, this was amazing. With only a 20 mill budget (with the CGI needed for something like this, this is a paltry sum) Abrams does some great shit. One of the few movies I would pay to see in theaters again.

I thought that it was great. Got kinda dizzy halfway through the movie thanks to the camera.

Ending let me down a little, but all in all, a great film that I wouldn't mind seeing again!

Couldn't agree more, I thought it was amazing. This is one of a few movies that I would see again in theaters, since I imagine much of the luster will be lost in a home theater.
