Warms my heart :) Run-blocking was a huge weakness of ours last year. If Moses is half the mauler of his reputation, we're well on our way to fixing that.Per a convo with Jheranie Boyd (UNC WR verbal), Moses is going to be a Cavalier.
big omission

CHARLOTTESVILLE ? When Morgan Moses signed a football letter-of-intent with U.Va., it was no secret that the mammoth offensive tackle from Meadowbrook High might not qualify for admission in 2009-10.
Some four months later, Moses, a Parade All-American in 2008, appears unlikely to play for the Cavaliers this season. The start of summer school is looming for incoming football recruits, and today I found all of the players who signed in February with U.Va. listed in the directory on University of Virginia, with one exception: Moses.
The recruits listed include Hunter Steward, an offensive lineman from Kellam High in Virginia Beach. When Steward committed to U.Va., there was some talk that he would delay his enrollment until 2010, but that idea seems to have been scrapped.
In conversations with people who are familiar with Moses? situation, I was told last week that there?s still a chance he?ll meet NCAA standards for freshman eligiblity. It?s more likely, though, that Moses will spend a year at a prep school ? probably Fork Union Military Academy ? before enrolling at Virginia in the summer of 2010.

Predictably, the procession off the bus was slow. These were, after all, teenagers at 8:30 a.m., in early July.
Can you say sleepwalk?
"They're tired and sore," one coach remarked of the East high school all-stars as they trudged toward a practice for Friday's annual bash against the West at Darling Stadium.
But where was Morgan Moses? Certainly the Parade All-American offensive tackle and University of Virginia signee would be easy to spot, all 6-foot-7, 330 pounds of him.
Yet as player after player filed off the bus, pads slung over shoulders, there wasn't a behemoth in sight.
Had Moses canceled? Overslept? Happens all the time during all-star week.
Finally, one last person bounded down the steps. Wearing an orange U.Va shirt, he was big as a boulder, with a grin to match.
"He has the attitude you want to see from kids in all-star games," said East assistant coach Chris Thurman, the big whistle at Bristol's Virginia High School. "Look at him, always smiling and happy. He's one of those kids coaches can't have enough of."
Question is, will U.Va.'s coaches have Moses in training camp next month?
A recent graduate of Meadowbrook High near Richmond, Moses expects an answer in about two weeks. That's when he's due to receive his final standardized test results.
If the score meets NCAA standards, Moses heads to Charlottesville, where Cavaliers coach Al Groh calls him "a towering presence at his position."
If Moses falls short, he will attend prep school, most likely Fork Union Military Academy, a haven for top-flight football prospects needing to enhance their academic credentials.
Morgan Moses headed to Fork Union
Morgan Moses won?t enroll at Virginia as a freshman and will instead head to Fork Union Military Academy this fall, according to U.Va. coach Al Groh.
Moses, a 6-foot-7, 345-pound offensive tackle from Meadowbrook High in Richmond, didn?t attain minimum NCAA academic requirements for enrollment. He was considered by most recruiting analysts to be one of the nation?s top five offensive tackle recruits last year.
?I think it should be a very positive experience for him,? said Groh, who added Moses? re-routing to FUMA was expected.
Morgan Moses, a 6-foot-7, 350-pound prospect out of Fork Union (Va.) who is a very soft commitment to Virginia, will check out South Carolina this weekend. With the Cavaliers' recent coaching change, he has said he would at least look around some at other programs. Moses is rated the nation's No. 1 prep school prospect by Rivals.com.

USC had two official visits over the weekend: offensive lineman Morgan Moses of Fork Union (Va.) Prep and defensive lineman Tavaris Barnes of Jacksonville. Moses has been committed to Virginia but decided to check other options due to the change in coaches there. He met last week with Virginia's athletics director in Charlottesville. Moses plans to visit North Carolina this weekend. He hopes to be a mid-year enrollee if he gets a qualifying test score this month.

Moses has great time at USC
By Eric Guimaraes
OL Morgan Moses (6-7 320) of Fork Union Prep was in Columbia for an official visit at USC this weekend and had a great time. According to a source, Moses rated the visit a nine out of a possible ten. Moses was taken on a tour of the campus and watched some football at WIlliams-Brice during the Weekend of Champions. He met with players and coaches as well. North Carolina is his next destination and Moses will take that visit to Chapel HIll in two weeks. Sources close to the program say that Moses did not commit to the Gamecocks this weekend but that they are a factor with him. USC, Clemson, UNC, Auburn , Tennesse and Virginia, where he initially committed, are schools maintaining contact with the big lineman. Moses does not have a favorite but USC did make strides with him and opened his eyes to the school, according to a source.

USC to the lead for Moses
By Phil Kornblut
USC has moved ahead of the hungry pack for OL Morgan Moses (6-7 320) of Fork Union Prep, VA according to his coach. "I think he's leaning USC's way, but he's got a lot of soul searching to do," John Shuman said Tuesday night. "He's going to meet with coach London (UVA) and his staff Thursday. But a major factor is I don't think Virginia will bring him in second semester. They don't like to do that. He's looking to see who will bring him in second semester." Moses made his official visit to USC last weekend. Clemson was among the many schools to try to get some time with Moses Tuesday during an open recruiting day at Fork Union. "They are trying to get a home visit Wednesday night," Shuman said. Moses checks out of Fork Union for good on Thursday and will return to his home in Richmond. He will take the ACT Saturday. After the test, it's likely he'll take an official visit with Clemson, LSU and Florida possibilities. USC did not attend today's session because the Gamecocks just had him in for the visit and plan to see him at a later date. Moses is scheduled to visit North Carolina December 18th but that could change to another school according to Shuman.

Moses taking two more visits next week
By Phil Kornblut
OL Morgan Moses (6-7 320) of Fork Union Prep, VA left school for his hometown of Richmond, VA Thursday having completed his academic requirements there except for qualifying on the ACT. He will take the test again Saturday. Fork Union coach John Shuman said Thursday that Morgan plans to take an official visit to LSU late in the weekend after taking the ACT. Then early next week, he plans to take an official visit to Florida. He has visited USC and Virginia, with new coach Mike London, also remains in the picture. "He's definitely fired up about South Carolina," Shuman said. "But he knows Mike London will communicate with him shortly." One thing Shuman is concerned about is that he was told that all the paperwork for mid-year enrollees needed to be in at the schools by next Wednesday. That means transcripts, test scores, everything. And of course with Moses taking the test Saturday, there' no way his score will be available by then. That could prevent him from being able to transfer at mid-term. Shuman said Moses won't make a decision until he learns if he's qualified on the test. As for USC commitment DB Chris Payne, Shuman said Payne plans to leave Fork Union at the Christmas break and not return, and he will do so without having graduated from the school. Shuman said Payne needs to fulfull five course credits to graduate, but by leaving he will only have two. He said Payne could try to enroll at another school to get the remaining course credits. If he doesn't, he will be ineligible for USC next fall.
USC offensive line coach Eric Wolford met with offensive lineman Morgan Moses of Richmond. Moses played this season at Fork Union (Va.) Prep, where he finished classes Thursday. He took the ACT on Saturday then left on an official visit to Florida. He has visited USC and Virginia and is looking at LSU, North Carolina and Ohio State for visits. Moses also met with new Virginia coach Mike London. He has been committed to the Cavaliers but decided to check other options due to the coaching change. His coach, John Shuman, said Moses will not decide until he learns his ACT score.
