'09 OK SG Xavier Henry (Kansas Verbal)

A Top Prospect Could Turn Into a Package Deal

Published: July 9, 2007

Good genes have helped the Henry boys. Their father, Carl, played basketball at Kansas and their mother, Barbara, ran track and played basketball there. The strong Jayhawks ties have led to speculation that Kansas is atop Xavier?s list, but he said that the Jayhawks were tied with Memphis and North Carolina.

Should be interesting to see where he goes. He is now the number two ranked player in the class.
I would think with his brother at Kansas that they will probably land him. No inside information but being at the same school with your brother means a lot.

Elite 24 Player Breakdown

slam online
Xavier Henry, 6-6 wing, Putnam City (OK), 2009: People need to kill the Kobe comparisons for now, but Henry’s size, skills and offensive ability are mature beyond his years. A physical scorer who can hit the J and get to the rack whenever he wants, the underclassman’s game is probably better for more of a half-court affair.

shoot... i'm upset with myself for not posting about him yesterday. i echo everything slam stated. he wasn't flashy, he wasn't loud, and he wasn't selfish. what most impressed me was how he carried himself. it may come off a bit odd, but he just looks mature. sometimes you can see maturity in a way a person looks. xavier is that type of guy: a born leader who heads the pack by his actions and not his words. i would absolutely love for xavier to commit to the bucks. he is a pillar-type player.
