'09 OH RB Bud Golden (Illinois Verbal)

If this is all they are waiting on and they believe he has the talent...I take him over Hyde...I take Berry and Golden to go along with Hall and call it a great RB class...
I'd call that a pretty amazing RB class. Each one of those guys would bring a different aspect of the RB position to this offense. Bud's tackle-breaking no-frills style of running (Pittman-esque) translates very well in this offense and would be a perfect compliment to Berry's speed & jukes and Hall's pass catching ability at RB or split out wide.

I would love to see Bud get that coveted offer. I, too, would take him over Hyde. Here's hoping for positive results from that SAT!

I too concur with the statements above, this kid is a beast, I'd love to see that offer go out soon! I'm not too worried about his SAT, he should do fine, Sycamore is a great school and prepares kids well for the test. Hope to see Bud in S&G!

OSU is just in too good of shape with Hyde and Berry for an offer to be warranted...unfortunately I just don't see it happening for Bud.

I believe you are right. The SAT score is just another way to delay the kid. My GMC insiders say grades are so far from being an issue that it's laughable that OSU wants to wait on an SAT score.

I really, really hope Bud doesn't wind up in the Big 10. He's going to be a really good one.

And just to clarify for those of you not familiar with Sycamore High School (School of Kevin Yokouliss...i'll never learn how to spell his name!): Sycamore is not a football factory. Sycamore is very much the academic public school that bosts as many National Merrit semi-finalist as the elite, hand picked kids of St. Xavier high school.

I really, really like Bud first off but if I had to pick, I like Hyde and Berry better. If either one falls through though, Golden is by no means a bad backup option.

And at the same time, it doesn't really hurt having Ohio State looking at you. I'm sure some other schools would take a look if they hear Ohio State is looking to offer.

I'm sure the kid understands the situation. It's a win-win for Ohio State and Golden.
