By Greg Powers...talks about camping at Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and Iowa State. Was verbally offered by Minnesota.

A Friday hero, minus an alias

Fritz Rock caught two touchdown passes and Cecil Doe caught one. Starting quarterback Matt Tarpley hit each of them for a score and Dylan Thelemann also connected with Rock.

But the Trojans were up to the task. The 6-1 Rock and 6-3 Doe have wheels as well as hands, and they were easy targets for Tarpley and Thelemann. In the Wayzata tradition, the backup quarterback (Thelemann) plays the third series of each half. Thelemann did so Friday, but his scoring pass to Rock came while Tarpley was on the bench, applying ice to an arm that had been whacked.

Okay, let me get this straight. We could potentially have guys named Fritz Rock, Storm Klein, and Will Studlein playing at TOSU at the same time.?

Opposing Coaches have to be a bit concerned. Okay Johnny, you got "Rock." NO Coach, I thought I had "Stud." No Johnny, I changed my mind, you got "Storm" instead. OHHHHH the possibilities!:lift:

Fritz Rock's Minnesota offer pulled - Brew's Crew - Gopher Nation Message Board Community - The Hole - Message Board - Yuku

I'm sure a lot of you have already heard about this, but I was trying to get some factual information about what happened. I haven't yet - so I'll just post on what I've heard.

A source close to Fritz says that the U pulled his offer because they wanted him to commit and he wasn't ready to make that choice yet. I'm sure there's more to the story, as Rock is only a Junior, and it's still early. I have heard that Brewster only wanted 2 WR's in this 2009 class, and with Keise committing, I'm guessing that had something to do with this decision. If this is true, that leaves one spot left, for Bryce McNeal...or someone Brew has up his sleeve.

Like I said, take this all with a grain of salt, that's why I'm just posting this on the board and did not do a story on it. It is all speculation, but it's what I've pieced together - and wanted to pass it along.
