Just got an email from wearesc.com and it looks like Frankie will never play football again, due to a genetic heart condition. No link yet. Bad news.

Wow, didn't see that coming. That's terrible. I really hope USC honors his scholarship and he can still be apart of the team in some aspect.

The expectation is that he'll be a medical casualty which means Frankie will retain his scholarship to pursue his degree but will not count against USC's scholarship total.

Awful news, hopefully he can make the best of a tough deck.

From what I remember of his recruitment he seemed to have a pretty good head on his shoulders.. I remember him wanting to go into pharmacy or medicine or something like that. So he'll get to do that for free. Still a pretty solid gig.

Horrible news but it could definitely be worse. At least he can focus full time on his degree and help out the team in other ways. Football is pretty insignificant in the grand scheme.

Stanford, USC, and Florida lead, he watched an open heart surgery at Stanford, may visit tOSU, and will create spreadsheets to compare his finalists before deciding.

College football is really missing out here...he was destined to be a great one. Tough blow for Frankie but glad to see he is going to be able to continue his academic pursuit...

Yep, terrible news for him that he won't play football, but great that they caught it when they did and he still gets to live a full life and contribute.
