Frankie Telfort, OLB, Miami/Gulliver Prep
Player rank (position rank): 29 (3)
Considering: USC, Florida Ohio State and Stanford.
Front-runner: There are conflicting reports about whether or not Telfort has narrowed his list to two finalists. Nonetheless, it seems to be a dead heat between USC and Florida.
Scouts Inc. says: Telfort is exceptionally quick in coverage, but his best attribute might be his awareness skills. Hard to gain much after completing the short pass in his underneath zone; he has great breaking quickness and closing burst.
Frankie Telfort, (Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep)
ESPNU 150, No. 3 ranked OLB
Going into his third official visit of the season, it is still unclear as to where Telfort could be leaning . Initially it was assumed that either Southern Cal or Florida would land ESPN's third-ranked outside linebacker, but then Telfort surprised many by taking an official visit to Stanford last weekend, and adding Ohio State for a visit on Jan. 23 This could be a case of him realizing that both the Trojans and Gators have players on their board ranked higher at his position. Is this forcing him to look elsewhere? Only time will reveal the answer to this recruiting mystery.
TheIronColonel;1384134; said:Their logic is ridiculous. They're implying that Ohio State doesn't have talented linebackers literally piled in tidy stacks around campus. Perhaps it's true of Stanford, but then again Stanford offers an education that clearly outclasses Florida, OSU, and USC. The talent argument against OSU, though, is just plain stupid.
