'09 AZ DT Corey Adams (Arizona State Signee)

It's getting down to the end here for Adams and it has to be seen as a good sign that Tressel was out visiting him this late in the game.

It has always seemed that the biggest competition was ASU and not USC and maybe their disappointing season really helped. Plus, you just never know how long Dennis Erickson is going to stick around.

Marlon Brown and Corey are 1a and 1b on my 2009 wish list. Corey is especially important because DT is such a hard position to find top guys at and because it doesn't seem like there are any standout DTs in the 2010 class.

ESPN - Scouts Inc.: Matchups to watch in Under Armour High School All-America Game

Black OG Quinton Washington versus White DT Corey Adams

These two will garner much fan attention, as both are the top uncommitted prospects in the game. Adams plays smart and is fundamentally sound. In addition to being physical, Adams uses his hands and plays with good leverage. He is a tough player to contain because players not only have to match his athletic ability and physical nature, but they also have to be sound in their play. Washington could be the guy up to the task. He will bring a size advantage to the table as a big 300-pounder, but he is also light on his feet for a big guy and can get into defenders and move them off the ball.

By J Jewell. Adams says that he is not ready to make a choice, and will not be making his choice at the UA All-Star game as planned.

Umm... some conflicting info out there...

The Buckeyes already have an outstanding recruiting class that includes some very talented defensive linemen. But Jim Tressel is hoping to add Under Armour All-American tackle Corey Adams (Scottsdale, Az./Saguaro) to the fold.

Adams will announce his choice, Ohio State, USC or Arizona State, at the Under Armour All-American game on Sunday. Landing Adams, an impact interior lineman, would be huge for Tressel. A good case could be made for Adams selecting any of the three schools on his list, so recruiting fans will want to stay tuned for this big announcement.
