anybody have feeling toward where josh is leaning? seems fsu is putting the full court press on him.....

No, but I can tell where I 'feel' like I want him to lean! If only recruits did what I want them to do...then the world would be a much better place, imo.

Truth but FSUs class was rumored full and then it looked like one scholly opened up and then they took Sanders. I still think one had to do with the other.

I think FSU knows they are on the outside looking in. They took Sanders because they wanted him and nothing more imo...they're still trying to work JJ though because they always have at least a few that don't qualify (I see what your saying now...not position in question, just the amount of schollies to give). In any event, FSU shouldn't be in serious play, even if they have room.

JT is not an idiot. I dont see him putting in 8 hours in one day recruiting everyone in Josh Jenkins' life if he felt he couldnt get Josh to Columbus. He'd still recruit him heavily if he felt he was behind but he 8 hour day in Parkersburg speaks volumes to me.

I agree. JT has truly made his case!!

I don't think it was too long ago, in the days before ShredRod had even left WV, that we had our boy Josh definitely coming to us in no uncertain terms anyway.

Buckeye fool that I am, I gotta figure if he doesn't come to the Woody City after all that has happened since, in our favor and pointing him directly at us, then he never was coming in the first place...in reality, (allowing that kids are kids, God bless 'em).

For me, at this point, it is what it is. Whoever he chooses is what he feels he needs to do for his own personal reasons whatever they be based on. And dey ain't nuttin' nobody can do or say about it. Just wish that he'd choose Columbus, a very nice place to live, thats all!

End of the story on this one.

Jenkins caps off big week
PHS lineman named to Parade All-American team

By DAVE POE POSTED: January 28, 2008

PARKERSBURG ?After a week that saw a parade of college coaches come to town seeking his services, Parkersburg High School lineman has been named to the prestigious Parade All-America team.

The 45th annual team will be featured in the Feb. 3 edition of Parade, which is distributed along with the Sunday edition of The Parkersburg News.

The team includes 58 athletes from 24 states, with Jenkins ? a 6-foot-5, 305-pound offensive guard ?being the only West Virginia player on the squad.

The Parade announcement capped off quite a week for Jenkins, who received personal visits both at Parkersburg High School and at his home from West Virginia University head coach Bill Stewart, Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel and Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden, all of whom are seeking his services.

On Saturday night, Jenkins was in Morgantown, sitting alongside Stewart at the West Virginia University-Georgetown basketball game. Jenkins not only was recognized by the crowd, but it broke out into a chant of ?We want Jenkins.?? One student who brought an erasable board to the game wrote on it, ?Jenkins - need a pen???

FWIW, Pryor and Jenkin's coaches/assistant coaches have not exactly been on top of things...Reitz moreso than McCullough.

Just like Pryor, no matter who the other schools are, the one constant for Jenkins has been OSU...

My hypothesis on why that could be...McCullough=WVU fan and Reitz=UM fan. Always seems to me that they are holding out hope in the updates.

Jenkins is in possession of Golden Ticket
by dave poe
POSTED: January 27, 2008

PARKERSBURG ?If you have watched the movie Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, then you already know the value of a Golden Ticket.

It not only entitles you to free admission to the candy store, but it may also set you up for life in the form of an everlasting gobstopper.

Parkersburg High School all-America lineman Josh Jenkins is one of the lucky possessors of a Golden Ticket, although in Jenkins case luck has had little to do with it. Rather it?s his size, speed, strength, athletic ability and determination that have virtually every major college football program in America craving his services.

Jenkins has his pick of virtually any candy store. He?s narrowed the list to three and in all probability will announce his decision on or before national letter-of-intent signing day on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

It?s been amazing watching the parade of major college head coaches converge on the Parkersburg High School football office and the Jenkins household, making one last pitch why Jenkins should use his Golden Ticket to come to their candy store.

West Virginia coach Bill Stewart, Ohio State coach Jim Tressel and Florida State coach Bobby Bowden ?one of whom is about to secure Jenkins? services ?all have come courting.

By Jardy...Coach McCullough says Bollman is coming on Friday and also talks about the recent visits from JT and Bobby Bowden. UM has shows no interest lately.

From the WVU site...they call Jenkins a slight lean to WVU...lengthy update on Josh's brother getting a job at WVU and how they think it will impact his decision.
