Interview with Jenkins's coach (McCullough) concerning Josh's official visit to West Virginia; also discusses JT's recent in-home visit to Josh.

Coach McCullough states that Josh is probably done taking visits, and that he will announce on Signing Day from among Ohio State, West Virginia, and Florida State.

It should be the Buckeyes all the way!! No contest!

The Marietta Times: Ohio State head football coach visits Mid-Ohio Valley

You can just hear JT saying the quotes in this article. I chuckle sometimes bc I'd love to know what he was really thinking. Anyways........Josh do what your heart tells you to do. Come be with your friends, come be a part of something special.......you know you want to!!

Jenkins concludes visit to West Virginia
Florida State?s Bowden to visit star Thursday

By DAVE POE, Sports Editor POSTED: January 22, 2008

PARKERSBURG ? With the Feb. 6 national signing day just a little more than two weeks away, college coaches are turning up the heat on uncommitted stars like Parkersburg High School all-American Josh Jenkins.

The five-star recruit who some scouting services list as the top offensive guard in America remains the subject of a red-hot recruiting battle between West Virginia University, Ohio State University and Florida State University.

Jenkins returned to Parkersburg after making his official visit to WVU Friday through Sunday. While in Morgantown, he spent a great deal of time with WVU all-American offensive lineman Ryan Stanchek, who served as Jenkins? host for the weekend visit.

Jenkins also spent a great deal of time with recently-hired offensive line coach Dave Johnson, who is planning a followup trip to Parkersburg this Friday. Johnson was scheduled to undergo hip replacement surgery on Monday.

?He and Josh spent a great deal of time together,?? said Parkersburg High School assistant coach Mark McCullough, who has guided Jenkins through the recruiting process. A process that began with virtually every major football program in America seeking Jenkins? services and now has come down to three.

I agree, I think that deep down Jenkins would like to play at tOSU, but I also think pressure from the home crowd also weighs heavy on his shoulders.
Anyway, hope to see him in scarlet and gray in the fall!

I think that much of that "pressure from the home crowd" is manufactured by the West Virginia media. There are a lot of Buckeye fans in Parkersburg....

coaches come in and seal the deal..no way stewart beats tressel out

I would agree; however, what worries me is that Tressel doesn't really have a great record of sucesses over years of "sealing the deal" when a recruit is choosing between Ohio State and another school on NLOID.

Jim Tressel spent more than 8? hours in Parkersburg, W.Va., last week recruiting offensive lineman Josh Jenkins. He spent a lot of time in Jenkins' home and reportedly posed for pictures and signed autographs at his school. A college head coach can do only one in-home visit per recruit, and the Ohio State coach is known to spend a lot of time asking the recruit to introduce him to every person in his life he considers important.
