Film.

Someone who is more experienced than me please tell me something. In this film does he seem to play high (on the defensive side) or is that the proper height for "shedding" blocks?

Really you can't tell much from this film, What you do see is his athletic ability, the two catches he makes on the offensive side of the ball and then the 2 times that he is running the QB down and hits him...Also you see a very smart player in terms of reading keys and understand what the other team is trying to do...The couple times when he is high it is b/c there is no one that blocks him as they block down and the trap block is coming and he takes it on and makes the play, the other time the Tackle is trying to release and he reads the screen play and tackles the the guy for a loss...

So yes I will say that he is high at times, but it isnt necessairly coming out of his stance and taking the guy on at a low point...That is what he and every other high school lineman will have to work on when they get to college, he will have to stay low coming around the edge as a speed rusher...

All of this could be a moot point as he is primarily being recruited for the offensive side of the ball and he shows great athletic ability to makes plays from the TE position...

I received some information that Kevin recently visited West Virginia and said he was very impressed with them. Mentioned OSU, Michigan, and West Virginia in the same breath. It is believed by everyone however, that he has made up his mind already, but is not letting anyone know just yet.

this kids recruitment kind of reminds me of Shawn Crable in that neither Scout nor Rivals have really taken notice of him. I don't even think Crable was rated by Scout and I think Rivals had him as a 3*. Scout and Rivals should have Koger rated at least 4*'s. When UM/OSU both want a kid this bad you know he's good IMO, and there are quite a few kids that Rivals/Scout have ranked alot higher than Koger that either UM or OSU didn't even offer.

Sort of correct. Crable was a three-star on Scout, but a four-star on Rivals (#4 in Ohio; # 39 nationally).

I agree that schools like Ohio State and Michigan simply do not recruit two- and three-star talent; Koger should receive a four-star rating.

Kevin will attend tOSU's camp on 6/22 and Michigan's on 6/17. He prefers to play offense.

That's gotta help tOSU's cause-Moore and quite possibly Baldwin in the same class can't look good for a 3rd TE recruit. I believe I read somewhere that scUM told Kevin they are recruiting him as a DE.
