Not that Devoe is any less impressive, but his shoes are Nike Air Max 360 which are "running" shoes, but they are definitely the same as cleats in terms of traction.
Good call, I'm out of the loop on shoes. When I texted cbf after he ran by, they looked somewhat bulky for fast speed timing. Either way, he had an outstanding outing yesterday.

Here's a pic of the shoes:

Not on field turf...You are going slip as you don't have the cleats gripping into the ground...

Yes they are running shoes, but not turf running shoes...

You have to have legit shoes to run on turf, or you will not have the same start and burst during the sprint(I know from experience). Devoe is one hell of an athlete. Anybody that runs a a 4.5 in shoes not made for the surface is something special given his size. If his given position is 100% running back he will easily put on another 15-20 pounds, and with our strength and conditioning coach that everybody raves about, I have a feeling he won't lose his speed.

P.S. Calvin Johnson ran a 4.35 in shoes that weren't his as the NFL combine. Amazing.

P.S. they were his shoes, he was seen putting them on and tying them up before he ran because he let someone else wear them. This is where the story that ESPN started was that he ran in someone else's shoes but he just lent them to someone else that did not bring cleats. Anyway Devoe has stud written all over him. Good to great speed, great vision, decent shakes, and good power. Plus he plays downhill from the mike position and knocks the crap out of people. Gotta love him.

Was he really showing the "O" or was he getting ready to catch the ball. In the photo of Devoe and Douglas Rippy, he is running a route out of the backfield, this is why I ask. If he was really was making the "O" gesture... he is definitely a proud Buckeye... the kind I like to see.
