there is a guy over on the buckeyegrove.com message boards that says his niece goes out with zordich and told him yesterday that mike was going to penn state. i will believe when i see it.
everytime i go to that website and read the posts it shows me how much better buckeyeplanet is than any other. I love this site.
GO BUCKS!!!

That guy has posted as much on several message boards now. Mixed signals on Zordich right now.

I browsed through about half this thread, and I still couldn't find any word about talk of him being recruited as a fullback, which I've heard on different boards, but I'm a little suspect of. Is there any truth to talk of him being mentioned as a possible fullback prospect for OSU, even if its just "we'll give you a look at _____ but you could also end up at _____"?

Preemptive thanks.

He's being brought in as a MIKE LB, but some feel that FB could be his eventual destination... That talk mainly arises from those concerned about his speed and athleticism...

Zordich turning down PSU would be like Herbstreit or Vrabel's kids turning down Ohio State. In the end, it's probably not gonna happen.

While i agree to an extent, my opinion differs slightly.

Two main points:
1 - Zordich is an Ohio kid. Born and raised i believe (may be wrong). OSU is basically the "home" state school. If Zordich lived in PA, then the odds of us landing him over PSU would be slim to none. But all the local pressure is pushing towards OSU.

2 - I will probably catch some flack for this about being elitist or whatever, but i do not consider OSU and PSU even on the same level. Both as a program and on the field. Tressel is probably here until he retires, Paterno in all honest likelihood will not be there for all of Zordich's eligibility. The current talent level on each roster is definitely in OSU's favor and due to this recruiting class will continure to be. Recent results on the field are definitely in OSU's favor. I think both depth charts are fairly similar (could be wrong). My 2 cents

Michael definitely has a tough decision...take your time and make the right one

ol's reply is exactly what I was going to say to Cleve's post. Herbstreit and Vrabel are born-and-raised Ohioans, just like Zordich...no "Pennsylvania" roots for Zordich, only generational academic ties.
