Wow, what an embarrassing thread in general (the Scout thread, not ours).

This post by osubuckfan4life (don't we have oneof those here?) really gets me:

Im one of the biggest Buckeye fan you will know. JT needs to start signing more 4 and 5 star players and less 2 and 3 star players. Its time that Ohio State started getting the talent like USC gets. Time for Jim to start earning his money.

Less 3-stars? Like A.J. Hawk? Like James Laurinaitis? Like Malcolm Jenkins? Like Brian Robiskie? Like Vernon Gholston?

Mooney alum here. If Z is making a decision very soon and he favors tOSU, then why the trip to PSU 6/1? It just seems odd if he is leaning toward the Bucks.

Yeah, that would definitely seem to favor PSU, but there could be any number of reasons. Maybe his father promised PSU the last shot before announcing and is doing it as a courtesy.

If he's having a hard time deciding between the two schools, then why the June decision to commit to either? Take your time and at least wait till September. Unless you are really sure, what's the rush?

I just don't get this June thing.

One thing that makes me a bit confident (and I've discussed this with a few of you via PM) is that I have heard talk of him leaning on McCarthy to be a Buckeye too. I've heard no such talk about Zordich leaning on any PSU recruits to be a Nittany Lion. But at the same time, one would have to admit that a June 1st visit to PSU followed by commit soon thereafter does not bode well for the Buckeyes. Alas, I still feel good about this one...again, not just based on gut feelings (see The Mill).

Again, this could very well be a "last check" to make sure he indeed does want Ohio State more than any other school. His deciding immediately afterward makes this scenario possible, e.g., "I want to go to Ohio State, but I'll check out Penn State, just in case, and unless they sway me I'm pulling the trigger for Ohio State".
