what are you talking about? it isn't weird that he is getting offers from everyone, the weird thing is that osu hasn't offered even though he has visited here and everyone else in the country is offering him

What is weird is that you seem to know more about the LB class of 2008 than the staff does.

If they haven't offered there is a reason, even if you do not know what it is.

So because everyone else is offering we shoud, I will leave it to the staff to offer who they think is fit, and will not lose sleep over it when other teams offer a player and we don't.

We havent offered Z. Sanders and he is getting quite the offer list...

As to what I meant, coaches don't just send out offers to send them out, they see film, or have visited the kid, talked to his coach and the such. Usually you don't see a kid really get all these offers from all these different programs unless he is showing heavy interest to them he send his film to them, etc. this early in the season.

I mean he is a good lb and could probably name is school if he really showed the love that he wanted to attend a program, but you have guys that can right their ticket to all over the country and you don't see them getting this number of offers.

So that is what I was talking about...

Here's a thought rolemodel, maybe the OSU staff sees Jon as a MLB and they also see Hale as a MLB. Maybe they feel very confident on Hale which could explain why Major has no offer from OSU.

I think the OSU staff does and should feel very confident on Hale. Everybody is saying Michigan is the competition for Hale, but I'm not buying. He's a Gateway kid- and that relationship isn't as bad as the Glenville one but it isn't exactly rosy either. I say watchout for Penn State. This is a Glenville-like situation we're talking about here but Terry Smith has much deeper ties to Penn State than Ginn does to Ohio State. Terry Smith played for Joe Paterno, is best of friends with some of the coaches on the staff, and his son Justin King plays for Penn State.

For a UM fan, that is actually a really great point...

Brandon Moore, Brandon Beachum, Zebrie Sanders, Jon Major...all of these guys are likely to be highly rated with impressive offer sheets...but every one of them is at a position where we have already offered other prospects (Moore - Rudolph / Beachum - Sweat / Major - Hale / Sanders - Adams).

So we should offer them right, everyone else is...

hey guys, i wasn't judging the staff, i wasn't even saying they should offer him, i'm just saying he seems to be a top 5 LB in the nation and it is weird that he has showed interest in osu but osu has not given any interest back, could it be because they don't like him? yea, is that not weird? that everyone is raving about him and osu doesn't care? I'm not judging the staff, or anyone, i'm just pointing out that the situation is weird, christ

i'm sorry that i said the exact same thing that wad did in the last page but didn't come up with a good theory on why this situation is what it is

From ColoradoPreps...Jon's current top seven are Colorado, Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn State, Oklahoma, Northwestern and Stanford. Schools he is looking at that have not offered are USC, Texas, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Virginia.

I'm shocked Al hasn't offered...

I'd hate to see him go to scUM or CU. The Stanford offer goes to show how good a school Ponderosa is, along with his grades. I'd love to see this kid in Scarlet and Grey -- but it's looking like a long shot right now.
