'07 WI OL/DL Josh Oglesby (Wisconsin signee)

although not directly related, it seems that Sam Young has dropped Florida from his list. It appears as if he is going to ND.

If that is the case, they will have taken 5 OL this year, with 3 being listed as tackles.

That is definately a difficult sell over a school that has taken one tackle in 2 years and will have a RS Senior and a junior starting at the 2 tackle spots when he would be on campus.

Hopefully it all works out for osu.

Well I think its obviously down to ND and OSU. Wisconsin might have a chance, but with Alvarez stepping down, it might affect the Badgers success when it comes to recruiting. Oglesby will probably be our #1 line target next year, and our depth chart is not as loaded as ND's. There is still a lot of time left though, anything can happen.

Wisconsin might have a chance

I personally think that Wisky has a better shot than what some give them credit for. The Badgers always get the top rated guys from their home state, it seems, and I think that they will undoubtedly put the full court press on him to try to keep that trend going. I think tOSU has a great shot to sell early PT to Oglesby. I think our chances will only go up if Young goes to ND. We have great potential to have an excellent OL class next year, with most of our recruits coming OOS.

Oglesby-tOSU right in the thick of things (may be slight leader if ND gets Young)
Blankenship-rumored to have tOSU be his leader
O'Dowd-tOSU-ND race
Scheipes (sp?)-from OH, tOSU lean

Oh...the possibilities:biggrin:

I know Bielema will be taking over for Alvarez but I think they might be hurt with their in-state recruiting without Alvarez. Bielema is unproven and this may drive recruits away since they won't have an already very prestigious coach. I think if we put on full court press(and we will), sell playing time, and he camps here again this year, we should have a good shot at being in the drivers seat. I agree 100% with the OL possibilities. I just hope they don't end up like the 06' OL possibilities. However, I think we will clean up nice on OL in 07'.

If Young climbs on board with ND, then they will get 6 OL this year. Matt Carufel from MN will verbal to them at the AA Game... I think we have just as good of a shot as anyone with Oglesby. He will most likely take his visits, and said he wants to camp here again next summer.

I've beem reading that ND might have six linemen in so giving us a better chance with him

my thoughts and hope I'm wrong but.
When your a player and being compared to another O.PACE type of player .You have no thoughts about the other players they got already and others they could get because, he has so much natural talent that others have to work to get close to his ability and he has it already . So any school will not scare him off with the numbers of schollies at the same position. I just hope his love for O.PACE comes through

While this is a good point, and is the reason, why alot of schools pull in good players after good players, sometimes when you see all those guys in front of you on depth chart just b/c of grade and that will worry you especially when you see another school where you could come in and start no matter what.
