'07 OH LB Dewey Elliot (Harmony Prep)

Thanks and i would also just like to say there has been alot on Dewey about his grades. Hes been getting help and taking extra time in the classroom to improve.

I know Deweys a huge Buckeye fan and very interested and but he also said if Penn State offered him then he would have to think about it.

I know we really don't NEED this kid in this class but it would be a great asset to the team, seems like a great player.
I think we definitely need a MLB in thsi class. I think Homan plays the middle and Mark Johnson plays the WILL. That leaves Homan and Hoobler after this year at MLB. Dewey would be a nice addition after Kerr graduates.

Recently named a 4* top 250 players by Rivals.
Espn's Scouts inc. also just evaluated Dewey and gave him an 83 in their new scoring. For comparison, B. Martin-84, Clifford-82, Torrence-81. This should put him in their eventual Top 100.

He has absolutely no chance of qualifying...great player, but he's hovering on the Reggie Germany-level in HIGH SCHOOL. Certainly deserving of a 4* ranking based on his ability, but he'll be lucky to graduate this year.

West is correct.

People close to him are trying to get him to go to Hargrave or Fork Union. And a year at either of those would be best for him.

He has had many off-field issues, but it seems he is ready to grow up. He turned 18 a few weeks ago, and seems ready to grow up and be a man.

Getting him away from his friends will help incredibly. He has loving parents, and a good support network. That network is gone if he messes up off the field one more time, and he knows it.

Edit: no cursing--21

This kid reminds me of an Ernie Sims. He goes to my old high school and I saw many of his games last year. He is an absolute stud. But the rumors are true. I have many friends that teach or are involved at his school and all same the same thing about his grades. I hope him the best and also hope he can get his grades in-line and be a Buckeye. I would love to watch someone from my high school play for the bucks.

Help me understand

If these rumors are true, and this is not the first time I've read that grades are an issue with Dewey, why does he have an offical offer instead of other players that are in much better shape acadmically and are just waiting for their test scores. I do not understand that Dewey has an offical offer and Devon Torrence does not when everyone else in the Big 10 has offered Devon. I know Tress and Co. have a plan and I'm not questioning their system or results. This has just not made any sense to me. If the answer is that Dewey has an offer contingent on his grades then why not offer Torrence, T. Clemons, etc. contingent on their grades as well.

Dewey most likely doesnt have an offer from OSU.
