I agree that I'm a little surprised, mostly because an offer came this early, but Dewey is the best MIKE prospect I've seen this year, and I think that's a big need with this class. We're loaded at OLB, but don't have tons of depth at the MIKE.

That's what I'm calling as well. I really liked Elliot on video and think he has great athletic ability for his size, just like Cumberland. However, this offer I would think, is likely grade contigent, also like Cumberland's was.

Fortunately for him, Fairfield takes more pride in getting their graduation numbers to look good than it does in teaching their students something these days. He should be able to get his grades up.

Someone over at BN who is a regular poster says he talked to people close with Elliot and they said he doesn't have an OSU offer. Supposedly he is going to have trouble even being eligible for the start of his senior year. This seems odd hearing this after numerous reports have him with an offer. Perhaps we are thinking grayshirt or prep school?
