'07 OH LB Andrew Dailey (Penn State signee)

apparently visited penn state this weekend. my source has told me that if/when he receives an official offer from tosu, he could commit on the spot. i think we are in a good position to land dailey, but the longer tosu staff delays the official offer, the percentages start to fall. i hope he gets the offer soon, i think he'll be versatile player for the bucks.

With so much skill position talent in Ohio this year, he will have to be patient if he wants to play in Columbus. This year, camp will be a "tryout" more than ever.

There are about a dozen or so kids that are so close in talent level and potential, that losing a few is not going to be a huge deal. Everyone cannot get an offer...and that is the reality part of recruiting that is tough.

I agree with you grad that he will have to earn it but on the other hand I tend to think he gets the offer. It really seems Tressel gave both him and Brian Gamble quite a bit of attention even last year. I think Dailey is only behind Torrence, Clifford, and Martin in Ohio.

If big schools come with offers soon and we wait a long time, well then all bets are off.

This would likely hurt us more with Dailey than Gamble. Dailey has to get some work done in the classroom as well. There is a reason that you haven't heard much ND talk about him lately. He should be fine, but it may have caused the Irish to back-burner him a little. I think once he and Gamble get their test scores, their offer probability increases greatly...
