Massillon senior will attend Penn State
Massillon senior Andrew Dailey has given an oral commitment to continue his football career at Penn State University on scholarship.
Dailey, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound safety, helped the Tigers (13-2) reach the Division I state championship game last season and finish runner-up to Cincinnati St. Xavier.
At safety, Dailey led the Tigers with four forced fumbles, returning one for an 80-yard touchdown in the championship game. He had 55 solo tackles and assisted on another 26 tackles.
Dailey will move to outside linebacker this season, a position he is expected to play in college. He chose Penn State over scholarship offers from Florida, Illinois and Purdue.
Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska and Syracuse also showed interest.
